GBCC takes a small group of Korean Bitcoiners into the everyday life of another city's Bitcoin community.

It isn't a package tour and it isn't a conference. For a few days you sit at the meetings, the back rooms and the dinner tables of the people who already live it there.

What you see there sticks. GBCC sets up that kind of room on purpose.

The moments we became Bitcoiners were the ones where we met someone in person.

GBCC sets up that kind of room once a year, in a different city.

Bitcoin grows differently in every city. Taipei's Bitcoin is not Seoul's; it is not San Salvador's. The differences only show up when you go and look.

And one person you meet there becomes how you talk about the city back home.

Things people ask.

  • II don't know much about Bitcoin. Can I still join?

    Yes. GBCC is about people and a city. Curiosity is enough.

  • IIWhat should I bring?

    A Lightning wallet installed before you arrive (Phoenix, Wallet of Satoshi or similar). Otherwise: passport, the usual travel kit, travel insurance.

  • IIIIs it okay if I only speak Korean?

    The leads run things in Korean. Local meetups mix in English, with translation and help close at hand. Wanting to be there counts for more than language.

  • IVWill it be awkward if I come alone?

    Most people come alone. After a few days in a small group, you tend to leave as a group.

  • VAre flights and lodging included?

    Lodging in Taipei is arranged by the program. Flights are booked individually; we point you to the right schedule.

  • VIWill there be other city editions?

    Yes. After Taipei: El Salvador, Switzerland, Prague, Japan. GBCC is a series, not a one-off.
